On the third day, we travelled to the area of Sacred Valley at Cusco suburbs and here we will see a local village called Pisac. Today, the Pisac village is an ambassador of sorts - showing the agricultural produce, the llama farms and the local culture to international visitors.
Historically, the village of Pisac was thought to be built during Pachacutec times and was supposed to be act as defense against attackers trying to enter the southern entrance of the Sacred Valley. On top of this village also lies the Incan ruins - remnants of temples, altars from the Incan empire.
The farms at Pisac Village ...
This fella was particularly memorable ....
He was the only llama with gorgeous raven hair ... thick curtains that looked so luxurious when he ambled over ... too cute!
These were adorable ... I forgot the type of llama these were .. there are many types ....
Here local ladies strung the llama wool for making blankets and sweaters ...

Locals trade their wares by the roadside ...
I was certainly in awe of the ancient Incans ....
At the Incan sites .. local vendors selling fresh orange juice and sweet corn ...
I wanted the sweet corn - with SALT ....
AND CHEESE .... piping HOT! so good ...
On the way for lunch, we saw a local delicacy - guinea pig barbeque ...
And finally to the lovely TUNUPA Garden Restaurant, where I enjoyed my lunch and a cuppa espresso serenaded by the local band ... very nice indeed !
