Back to GRU Airport, Sao Paulo

So after that awesome HIGH from seeing Machu Picchu, we spent another night at CUSCO before boarding our TAM flight from Cusco-Lima to the Guarulhos International Airport (GRU) at Sao Paulo, Brazil. Here was the in-flight magazine showing the Machu Picchu trek.

Suddenly, hunger pangs returned - and I wolfed down the TAM's economy flight meal of chesse ravioli. Piping hot meals always help me feel good during long flights.

I've booked us at the SleepFast hotel located inside the GRU Airport for convenience. Our connecting flight on Singapore Airlines was on the next day, so that means we had to spend the extra hours at GRU Airport (or the other option was to explore on our own Sao Paulo city and then stay at one of the hotels at the city). This was not my preference because that would mean the transportation out of the Airport and back again would cost us, and it was not really much of a problem for me to stay within the Airport since I would not want to miss our Singapore Airlines flight back home.

So here is the look at the very expensive - Singapore Dollars about $120 per night SleepFast hotel shared bathrooms (very clean though).

There are plenty of shared bathrooms, you need to swipe your room key card to use any of them. A green light outside will show that the bathroom is vacant. After each use, the cleaning staff would come immediately to clean before the next hotel user.

And the tiny rooms ... fit for only one person really ....

But they allowed 2 persons for ROI purposes - with bunk beds ... blehhHH...

My every trusty blue luggage bag .... it's been a champ throughout this trip ....:))

SAY BYE BYE AT GUARULHOS AIRPORT before getting into departure gate ..... xox
