Bus #98 from Cote D'Azur Airport to Le Port

I boarded the Bus # 98 to Nice City Centre, with the bus ticket and routemap firmly on my lap (in case I overrun my stop). Then I realized, the bus driver did not announce the stops for the tourists, or stop unless someone asked for it. I actually don't know how many stops we've gone already. I realized alot of the passengers (tourists) were having a hard time standing with the many sharp turns the driver made. Luckily, I've got a seat up front nearby the bus driver so I was pretty okay. TRAVEL TIP: To bridge the language gap - write down your stop (LE PORT) in black marker pen on paper beforehand, and shoved this to the bus driver as soon as you get on bus.

I reckoned there was an electronic signage inside the bus at the back that helps the passengers to know the stops. But since I was upfront, I had no idea. I looked out the bus window and saw the sea, then think if it's Nice Port -- it has to be at the seafront area right? So I asked rather loudly to the bus driver (btw, I don't find this embarassing especially when I don't want to miss my stop) and asked him "IS THIS LE PORT?" It helped that I had showed him earlier where I wanted to go. In the next few minutes, he did the nicest thing =) He started announcing each stop for our benefit and then, nudged me to get off at LE PORT !

Wow... how about that ? =) Thank you Mr.Bus Driver !
